s27 CC delayed

Here's the deal: As shown in the protos and the photos and everywhere else, Spawn should have a tattered cape. Unfortunately, in our production samples, something bad happened. No one knows for sure, but the cape was NOT produced and by the time we got the samples it was too late to stop the production.

Here's our plan:

We have gone back and had the factory produce the corrrect cape. It will take roughly six weeks for those capes to show up here. In the meantime, we've pushed back the release of the S27 exclusive to early May. When you place your order, you'll get the packaged figure (without cape) plus the production cape in your package.

We felt that was the best way to handle the situation.

Pardon me? Shouldn't someone have uh, noticed this? And wasn't there talk about how in the pics he didn't have a tattered cape? Maybe I'm nuts.

See what happened was, the shipments come by boat, and the boat with all the S27 CC's disappeared for about 20 minutes while passing through the Bermuda Triangle on it's way to New Jersey. The crew was unharmed, in fact they knew nothing about what transpired. Turns out, the Atlanteans had heard about the tattered cape and devised a plan to steal them from the shipment en route over the ocean. The reason they want these capes is twofold: First, they are merfolk, and so they don't need clothes really - what with all the scales - and so they just want the capes so they have something to write their offsprings' names on until they hatch. See, it takes several hundred years for a batch of merfolk to hatch from their eggs, and let's face it, merfolk just can't find the fun in procreation so they make it more like work then it has to be...but anyway, merfolk hatchlings are almost impossible to tell apart - unless they're wearing capes. Just so happens the Spawn capes are the perfect size and the tattered shape is more breathable and hydrodynamic than previous wardrobe attempts. The other reason they want to steal them is far more complex, and requires at least five or six more paragraphs to explain properly. I shall begin again after I've seen some internet porn.
